fourth of July

Here are a few pictures of our fourth. Our raft trip I forgot our camera in the van so I just got a few after, and the of the ride over. The picture of the creek is the way walked up yesterday, but not on the fourth. On the fourth, we came up at a nice little park along the creek. Climbing right out onto the grassy shore. :) We gathered at the Shore's after and ate, later the kids watched fireworks. Jaden went to bed early since she doesn't like them.

So I should be flogged I know, we went rafting with friends and family and I took one picture, it was of the ride over. I know, as exciting as the back end of a truck full of rafts can be I didn't add it to the blog. Sorry. We plan to go more and so I will take pictures then. hehehe. The kids loved the ride, the rope swing was a big hit as well, we caught a little bit of white water the greatest risk to our safety was running aground. most of the water was about 1-2 feet deep, a few pools of 3-4.

Jaden loved it as well, Calvin was right on the edge of the raft toward the end of the ride. The kids all ask to go again so we will see.

Started pressure cooking today, very exciting to do. My book is in the final edit stage! I can't tell you how exciting it is to have it so close to done, really done. My kids are nagging me to finish a different one I wrote with all of them in it. I am just as excited my self, it is a real adventure.

Getting back in touch

Hey so we have been busy getting Jaden settled and playing in the summer sun. The kids and I went swimming last night, and now want to go all the time...... Jaden is charming everyone she meets and James has enjoyed seeing his relatives. later, s

James P.I.E. trip, and Jaden

So James had a nice trip. He had all the pie he wanted, they all did :) He slept in his hammock that he got for his birthday from his aunt and uncle shore. he loved seeing the face molds of the smith brothers. he said that talk was really wonderful and thought provoking.

The trip had lots of talks he told us, they were spiritual and uplifting. He had a good experience as well but you will have to ask him about it, we enjoyed hearing his stories, they did a lot of service for the park as well, and Jaden loved seeing him. He is staying with her the next two nights.

Visiting the Lake

Yesterday the family went on a adventure to one of our local lakes. We had fun. Button took to the water right away and listened better than the kids I think, :). Jonah tried to go swimming, but it was still a bit cool outside so he did not like his shorts wet....poor guy. Rannon climbed about every tree they had, Jonah closely following. Sicily not to be out done climbed a few, mostly she was happy to sit in the sun drawing. she played in the water too. Calvin, well, it is my opinion that he has watched a few movies of Daddies that he should not. The poor guy was just positive that crocodiles, and snakes were lurking in the water and was smart enough to not go in himself. He was happy to throw a few rocks however, and shield us from harm when ever needful. Bless him!S.

This is Jaden's sweet smile, I just had to send it out to everyone. She is doing well and still in the p.i.c.u. until further notice. she is tired after relearning to breath. as you can see she is very happy though. s.
